Hello fellow Newgrounders, as you may or may not know, a new flash, C. Crashing a Wedding is in the works, (around 25 seconds done, not much, been busy with school) and I wanted to tell you a little bit more about it.
As I worked on it, I realized that I had never drawn a princess from Castle Crashers before, at first I was like "Pfftt...how hard could it possible be?" Well, really hard actually! It didn't matter how much effort I put, she ended up looking more creepy than pretty, and I came to the conclusion that it's because of a curse.
The curse of DanPaladin
DanPaladin, in case you don't know, is the artist of Castle Crashers, and he has spread a curse all over the artists of Newgrounds. "Whoever attempts to draw with his style, will be doomed to failure and humiliation".
Many people have drawn the Castle Crashers well, but that's because they do it with their own style. I've drawn the Castle Crashers too, but the thing is, the princesses have a bigger amount of Dan's energy and soul into them, (I think the draws them with his own blood or something) so when I tried to draw them, they looked horrible.
Knowing this, I decided to draw the Green Princess with my own style, there's a screenshot of the animation below. So, that's it, the animation will probably be out by the end of summer if I'm lucky, keep an eye on my posts if you're interested in how the flash is doing, and I'll see you in the next post!
PS: Which do you think is better, Halo Reach or Starcraft 2?
